Awesome experience

Surfing with Sano was amazing! The spot on the beach had surfers at all levels. I am a beginner and did not feel out of place at all. Plenty of waves for everyone. It is a huge help to have someone helping you catch the waves. I surfed so much I was completely exhausted! Thanks Sano!

Pleasnt experience learning surfing with Sano!
Surfing with Sano was a really good experience overall! He was on time to pick us up and we started off with theory lesson on the beach - how to paddle, stand on the board and lastly emphasized on personal safety when in the sea. Also, he can be quite a funny guy, often reminding me to put on a smile while surfing. Overall really happy with my progress with Sano! Will be back :)

Great surf teacher

Great guy, very authentic, and caring, fully dedicated to create memorable surfing experiences for his students. For example, he moved our session without hesitation given heavy rain to another day was and instead provided us with an authentic tour on how his family lives and what role religion plays in the architecture of the houses and the daily life of Balinese people. Will certainly reach out to him again on our next Bali trip!

Best Surf Instructor!

I would 100% recommend surfing with Sano and do it exactly the same again! We were a pair of one absolute beginner and one experienced surfer but he was able to create the best experience for both of us! He picked a perfect spot with great waves and I felt really safe the whole time even though I was a little afraid before going into the water he did such a good job that in the end I just had a lot of fun and an amazing experience!

Unique surfing experience
I was in Bali for two weeks and had surf lessons with Sano every day. It wasn't my first time surfing, but I never learned as much as I did with him before. He was always very reliable, catered to individual needs and always paid attention to my safety in the water, so I always felt well taken care of and comfortable. Beyond the surf course, he had great tips for exploring the island that added to my stay! All in all, I had a wonderful time in Bali, to which he made a very significant contribution.

Excellent friend and surf instructor!
Sano is an incredible friend and teacher. After a day of surfing on the foam softboard, he got me started on hardboard the next day even though I wasn't sure but I caught 10/12 waves on it! He knows how to gauge your progress and ensure growth within safety. He also plucked sea urchin spikes from my toe when I stepped on one so you know this knowledgeable and experienced guy has got your back. Highly recommend and will come back just for him! Jul. 2022

Great fun learning to surf! Highly recommend Sano!

Sano was an excellent instructor. One of the staff at our hotel recommended him. He picked us up in Seminyak and took us to Canggu where the surf was better for beginners. Neither of us had surfed before so Sano explained the basics to us (safety and technique) on the beach before we went in. We were both standing up catching waves really quickly with Sano’s help. He’s also a really lovely guy! It was great fun and we would definitely recommend learning with Sano!

The best surf instructor you can imagine
When I booked Sano Surf Bali the first time (2016) I was an absolute beginner. In only three christmas holidays in total Sano has made me a happy intermediate surfer. How did he do that? - With a lot of know-how, experience and passion!
I highly recommend Sano Surf Bali for every surf level. My personal success factor was a training alone or in pairs. Who wants to learn surfing with fun effectively gets the maximum result with this guy.

Good time in the water
I stayed in the last 4 years in total 5 months in Bali. For me it was difficult to find the right surf instructor, who meets my needs and expectations in the multitude of offers. During my last 2-month stay I got to know Sano. A nice personable and reliable local who also places a lot of value on what lies between human value. While coaching, it is important not only to be able to surf well but also to impart these skills to your surfing students. Sano adapts his lessons to every customer no matter if you are a beginner or an advanced surfer.
